NCASEF To Raise Funds For Susan G. Komen

May 7, 2012 (Tucson, AZ) – The National Coalition of Associations of 7-Eleven Franchisees announced that it has set a goal of raising and donating $50,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure during its 37th National Convention and Trade Show, which will be held July 8 – 12, 2012 in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.

During the National Convention, attendees will be able to participate in three fundraising events, the proceeds of which will be designated for Komen.  These include live and silent auctions, as well as a raffle similar to what the convention has hosted in the past, but for different charities.  National Coalition leadership is currently soliciting items for each event to be auctioned and raffled.

“This year marks the 30th anniversary of Komen, and over the past three decades, they have raised and invested more than $1 billion to fight breast cancer, raise awareness and educate the public about this devastating disease,” stated Bruce Maples, chairman of the National Coalition.  “We are doing this for all those battling breast cancer and their families, especially those who are part of our collective 7-Eleven family.  Every individual in our family has been touched, at some level, by cancer and this is one way we can bring healing.  It is our honor to be a part of Komen’s noble efforts through this campaign,” he concluded.

The National Coalition of Associations of 7-Eleven Franchisees is the national trade group for 7-Eleven storeowners in the U.S., representing the interests of over 3,300 convenience store owners whose 5,468 franchise-owned stores employ nearly 40,000 workers.
