NCASEF Donates To Susan G. Komen For The Cure
National Coalition of Associations of 7-Eleven Franchisees Marks
Breast Cancer Awareness Month with $70,562.49 Donation to
Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southern Arizona
October 23, 2012 (Tucson, AZ) – In commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the National Coalition of Associations of 7-Eleven Franchisees (NCASEF) today announced that it is making a $70,562.49 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southern Arizona. The funds were raised earlier this year at the NCASEF’s national convention in Hawaii, and came from both live and silent auctions as well as a charity raffle.
“We are honored to be able to make this donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southern Arizona,” stated Bruce Maples, national chairman of the National Coalition. “Many members of our 7-Eleven family across the country have been touched by breast cancer, and being able to give back to an organization that fights every day to end this terrible disease is gratifying, he continued. “The National Coalition is headquartered right here in Tucson, and all of our franchisees, from across the country, place great value on supporting charities that are close to home.”
“Words can’t describe how deeply grateful we are for this contribution,” stated Maria Elena Acuna, Interim Executive Director and Mission Director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southern Arizona. “Every day I receive a call from a woman – mother, daughter, grandmother, granddaughter or friend – asking for help, and this gift will support our efforts to give hope to those whom we serve, allowing them to be at a wedding, graduation from high school or even at their child’s 1st birthday,” she concluded.
