Why the National Coalition’s 44th Annual Convention and Trade Show Matters to You

The 44th annual NCASEF Convention and Trade Show is only days away. This year we have more franchisees and more vendors registered to attend than ever before. Our host site, The Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center offers comfortable and state-of-the art facilities in the heart of Long Beach, California. We welcome those of you who have already registered, and invite those of you who have not yet registered, to do so. There are a limited amount of hotel rooms still available.

Highlights include the State of the Coalition address by National Coalition Chairman Jay Singh and executive officers on Wednesday, August 7 from 9am to 11am in the Grand Ballroom. This session will look ahead to our future as well as recap important developments affecting the industry in general and 7-Eleven franchisees in particular. The “Franchisees ARE the Brand” Trade Show opens at 11am on Wednesday, August 7. And on August 8, we will feature our legal forum with NCASEF General Counsel Eric Karp and Attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan, who is representing franchisees in the California lawsuit. We are also pleased to have Subway franchisee and advocacy consultant Keith Miller on August 8 at 9am in the Grand Ballroom. Miller recently testified in front of a U.S. Senate subcommittee on the need to increase Federal Trade Commission oversight of franchising and monitor the information franchisors include in their disclosure documents.

In addition, we have put together an exciting schedule of events including a Day at Disney on Tuesday, August 6, and a Night on the Queen Mary on August 7. NCASEF has worked in conjunction with the Long Beach Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to offer many incredible deals for attendees when you show your convention badge including discounted admission to the Aquarium of the Pacific and discounted meals at participating restaurants. A full schedule and more information can be found here.

Over 80 vendors will take part in this year’s trade show. They are sponsoring a multi-prize raffle, featuring a Mercedes GLA Crossover SUV as the grand prize. Major sponsors include Anheuser-Busch, Inc., Coca-Cola, Heineken USA, JUUL Labs, Keurig Dr. Pepper, Miller Coors Brewing Company and MONSTER Energy Company.

The convention and trade show will culminate with the Grand Banquet and Charity Night on Thursday, August 8 from 7pm to 10pm in the Grand Ballroom. Highlights will include live and

silent auctions, Franchisee Recognition Awards, a donation to Swim Across America and the announcement of this year’s sweepstakes winners.

For the last 43 years, 7-Eleven franchise owners have come together at the convention and trade show to discuss the state of our business, meet with vendors and support the National Coalition’s efforts to advocate for the best interests of all 7-Eleven franchisees. We hope to see you all in Long Beach.
